Bicycle Vs Nero

A simple task, a coffee.
Yes please, could I have a machiato double espresso? A request made in both Cafe Nero Covent Garden and The Bicycle shop in Norwich.

The difference was amazing, for one, I was served my machiato in Zero with such disdain and lack of care, you could see the sadness in the foam upon the surface, lukewarm too. Rubbish!

In Norwich however, I visit the Bicycle Shop, number 17, St Benedict's Street. On arrival, I could tell this independent establishment was going to deliver a machiato with care. It was served hot with biscotti to my tasteful, pale blue Formica table, not too unlike one my Nana used to have from the 60's. Bliss.

If you're gonna serve coffee, serve it properly.

1st class my arse!

A leisurely journey to Norwich touching upon the east coast, observing beautiful scenery and being served a classic, wholesome english breakfast, bliss. Not so fast, you're traveling first class on National (Midnight) Express railways. Strewn with dirty, laminated sheets listing breakfast specimens, my allocated seat and table awaited me. The grubby presentation of the list was not reflective of it's hefty prices, I suspected a rough deal. To be on the safe side, I ordered a straight bacon sandwich and a cup of tea.
No one could get that wrong could they???!!! Not for 7 quid???!!!
